We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Director to join Ogilvy Argentina and lead our planning initiatives in the market. As Planning Director, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning processes, guiding campaign development, and ensuring the alignment of our advertising strategies with client objectives and market trends. This position requires fluency in English, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of comprehensive advertising strategies and plans tailored to the specific market (70% Argentina, 30% other South American countries), ensuring alignment with client objectives and target audience insights.
  • Campaign Development: Oversee the conceptualization, development, and execution of advertising campaigns across various media channels, ensuring consistency with strategic objectives and creative excellence.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in Argentina, providing insights and recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and drive business growth.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business goals, challenges, and opportunities, and develop strategic advertising solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the planning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including creative, account management, and media planning, to ensure seamless integration of planning initiatives across all stages of campaign development and execution.
  • Performance Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, analyze performance data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic planning or a related role within the advertising industry in Latam.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of advertising principles, market research methodologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
