PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

LoB Finance is responsible for SAP’s Solutions covering the business needs of Chief Finance Officers (CFOs) and their organizations.

This role is responsible for driving incremental pipeline and license revenue opportunities for Finance. Priority focus will be to develop, coordinate and execute demand generation and sales enablement processes and thereby improve pipeline conversion in the market units of LAC. It reports to the global head of solution management and CoE (center of expertise) for Finance but works in close alignment with EMEA regional business development, field marketing, sales, presales and consulting functions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Leadership

Lead cross-functional regional teams (including sales, marketing, services, and partner resources) in the development of regional and local Finance solution proficiency
Ensure close alignment between solution management and regional business development 
Develop clear accountability for specific goals and tasks, and track and evaluate progress

Sales enablement

Create new sales enablement assets, in particular new asset types like videos, whiteboard sessions
Develop regional and local capabilities to consistently identify and close sales opportunities in Finance
Cascade information from global functions to regional multipliers

Demand generation

Identify new growth opportunities and segments that may require additional demand generation
Provide leadership to regional teams by defining new business development strategies
Help define and drive execution of regional growth plans for targeted markets

Strategic deal support

Support strategic deals by addressing customer top or senior executives in the area of Finance
Work with MU teams to ensure closure of top deal opportunities for Finance
Use strategic deal engagement to enable regional or local multipliers

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

BA or BS degree or equivalent, MBA or advanced degree a plus
Ability to navigate in complex landscapes and to build networks; must be able to engage and build liaisons at the executive level
Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex topics to non-expert audience in convincing way
Team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of people and cultures at different organizational levels, both face-to-face and virtually

WORK EXPERIENCE

10 years working experience in software sales, sales enablement, consulting or solution management
Deep domain expertise in Finance, ideally also experience with SAP Finance solutions
Experience in leading teams (direct or indirect)
Record of building strong customer relationships
SAP business development, solution sales, and/or consulting experience a plus
